*Job Summary:*
We are seeking a reliable transportation driver who is passionate about promoting health and wellness to join our team in San Diego, CA.
In this role, you will provide safe, friendly, non medical transportation services to our clients in the San Diego area, as well as distribute chronic health education material to our clients in the area.
*Supervisory Responsibilities:*
• No supervisory responsibilities.
*Duties/Responsibilities:*
• Safely transport clients to and from medical appointments, grocery stores, pharmacies and other destinations using company vehicles.
• Maintain timely communication with Site Manager/Supervisor regarding client pick-ups and drop offs, and accurate records of trips, mileage logs, and any other pertinent client information.
Turn in appropriate documents prior to leaving duty.
• Provide excellent customer service and compassionate care to all clients.
Assist clients with entering and exiting vehicles; help carry bags and packages as needed.
• Distribute educational materials and resources to clients to encourage healthy behaviors • in-between transportation appointments or at other designated days/times.
• Possess thorough knowledge of San Diego County, including major traffic patterns.
• Maintain a safe and healthy workplace in accordance with OSHA standards, company policies and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain a clean and courteous appearance, professional and ethical behavior while working cooperatively with patients, other healthcare professionals, co-workers and the public.
• Ensure vehicles are clean and well-maintained; complete pre/post-trip inspections.
Replenish gas, equipment, and supplies as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
*Required Skills/Abilities:*
• Current State Driver’s License and Satisfactory Driving Record.
• Experience driving passenger vehicles (sedans, vans, small buses).
• Strong driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws, safety procedures and protocols.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and customer service skills.
• Ability to assist clients with physical mobility challenges.
*Education and Experience:*
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current CPR certification is preferred, training provided.
• Experience with TripLog is preferred.
Ability to interpret all required documents and utilize driving software.
*Physical Requirements:*
• Willingness to travel to different locations.
• Prolonged periods of driving and sitting for vehicle operation.
• Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times.
