We are seeking a Medical Billing Specialist to join our team!
Starting Hourly Range: $18.
00 - $23.

Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for reviewing patient records, surgical reports, and documentation for all patient-based charges, and assigning appropriate CPT and ICD-10 codes.
Bills insurance claims, and follows up with insurance companies for payment.
Review and audit encounters for correct coding of physician services.
Check for correct and complete encounters before being processed for billing and claim submission.
Experience with eClinicalWorks a plus.
One year of prior billing experience is required.
May compile itemized hospital bills, verify patient insurance coverage, and compute patient insurance benefits.
Manages insurance claim resolution by establishing and maintaining productivity standards, identifying problems, and resolving discrepancies.
Responsible for resubmission of denied claims and correspondence required, and filing appeals as appropriate.
Manages billing workflow to prevent delayed billings, co-payments, deductibles, cash pays, and coinsurance
Processes adjustment on patient accounts
Post monies EOBs – Explanation of Benefits (cash/checks/credit cards)
Performs other similar and related billing duties as assigned
Qualifications:

Knowledge of medical terminology
Ability to build rapport with patients
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment
Bilingual a plus, but not required
