We are seeking a Communication Specialist to join our team! You will be responsible for the public relations initiatives of the organization.
*Responsibilities:* * Design and maintain a favorable public image for the organization * Create City wide maps, organize and record keeping on each location/business visited * Coordinate all public relations activities and events * Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new business contacts * Cold Call & Walk in meetings to engage with and contract new clients * Develop and implement media relations programs * Work with other departments to help promote brand recognition * Assist in the selection of marketing and promotional materials ​*Qualifications:* * Previous experience in public relations or other related fields * Familiarity with social media marketing strategies * Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Deadline and detail-oriented *OTHER:* * Video Production, editing & media experience preferred.
* Bilingual Preferred.
* Personal Vehicle required.
* Interns start with no salary but as they understand their role they will be hired as independent contractor that begins at $8 per hour w/ 5% commission on each new client/project contracted out.
(Clients can vary from $300 - $20,000 per project) * Gas Money given monthly.
