Evolve Healthcare is seeking a Locum Psychologist for a 28 week contract at Centinela State Prison.
At CEN, we attempt to achieve inmate productivity and self-improvement by providing legally mandated work and study opportunities for all inmates.
This goal is accomplished through the development of support services, academic education, vocation instruction, spiritual programs, work assignments, substance abuse programs and the availability of self-help programming.

Shifts are M-F Days; 40 hrs per week 8am-4pm.
Contract duration is 28 weeks.
Compensation is $3,800/wk.
W2 hourly is $95 per hour.
Centinela State Prison provides for the confinement of General Population, Level I, Level III inmates, Level III sensitive needs and maximum security (Level IV) inmates.
The Psychologist plans and implements all professional psychological service programs of a non-medical nature in the facility.
Coordinates and directs the activities of personnel engaged in providing psychological services to inmates/residents.
*Job Responsibilities:*
* · Conducts psychological screenings and assessments based on review of available records, and clinical interviews with inmates.
* · As part of a mental health team, confers with other clinical staff, e.
g.
, psychiatrists, mental health service providers, physicians, nurses, social workers, in order to gather and provide information concerning patient psychological problems, to ensure treatment activities are well integrated, and patient care follow-through occurs.
* · Provides treatment to inmates by developing, implementing, and modifying individual treatment plans based on evaluation of needs and level of functioning.
* · Provides appropriate mental health assessments, counseling, and confrontation avoidance interventions to address the needs of inmates in crisis.
*Qualifications:*
* · Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Doctoral degree in Psychology.
* · Must possess a current, unrestricted license to practice psychology in CA
