Fire Captain - To Establish Eligibility List

JOB Under the direction of the Battalion Chief or assigned supervisor, supervise and direct Firefighters in a variety of fire-related activities and medical emergency procedures; supervise, discipline and evaluate the performance of assigned staff; supervise and coordinate training and station maintenance activities.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Any combination equivalent to: Graduation from high school supplemented by course work in fire science and three (3) years experience equivalent at the level of a full-time Firefighter or two (2) years equivalent to full-time Fire Engineer.
Incumbents must possess a valid California driver’s license and must obtain a valid Class B driver’s licenses within two months of employment.
Incumbents must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR from American Heart Association and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Certificate issued and recognized by the State of California and Imperial County Emergency Medical Services (EMS).
