Job Description and Duties
Limited Term 12 months; may be extended up to 24 months or become permanent.
Under the supervision of the Resourc·e Supervising Registered Nurse (SRN) II, Correctional Facility (CF), and the delegation and clinical direction of the Resource Registered Nurse (RN), CF and other members of the licensed nursing team, the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), CF performs various patient care activities and related nonprofessional health care activities for patients in a variety of treatment facilities and health care settings in support of the Whole Person Care Program (WPCP) and Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment (ISUDT) program.
As directed and in collaboration with the WPCP ISUDT nursing care team, the CNA, CF is primarily responsible for facilitating telehealth appointments for Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW) and Addiction Medical Central Team (AMCT) and performing basic nursing care procedures.
Other duties may include assisting patients with physical, personal care, activities of daily living, and ambulatory assistance needs.
The CNA, CF is responsible for addressing the ongoing needs of patients, working with the licensed nursing staff and other health care providers, and promoting the efficient, appropriate, and costeffective use of health care resources.
Minimum Qualifications: Possession of a valid Nursing Assistant Certificate issued by the California Department of Public Health.
